Glendora students are served by the Glendora Unified School District which has a current enrollment of over 7,600 K-12 students. Comprised of six elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and one learning center, the district’s mission is to providing top quality education and a healthy, safe, and progressive learning environment for the student body, faculty and staff. Private and parochial schools are also available throughout Glendora to serve the educational needs of students in a faith-based setting. For high school graduates and adult learners who are ready to make the jump to college, area colleges and universities include Azusa Pacific University, Citrus Community College, Mt. San Antonio College, California State Polytechnic University - Pomona, Pomona College, and the University of La Verne.

Big Tree Park is another popular local park that includes a sand and turf area, playground equipment, picnic tables and benches. The Carlyle E. Linder Equestrian Park located off N. Glendora Mountain Road features a riding rink and riding trails. Centennial Heritage Park is the home of Hamilton House, a late 19th century to early 20th century citrus ranch, the Orton Englehart workshop, a print shop, and exhibits of antique farm equipment.

Avid golfers will want to check out the Glen Oaks Municipal Golf Course/Park. Featuring a 3-par, 9-hole course, a lighted driving range, six tennis courts and five racquetball courts, one can spend the entire day working on their swing out and then embark on some additional recreational fare. Other nearby golf courses include the Friendly Hills Country Club, San Dimas Canyon Golf Course, Sierra La Verne Country Club, Via Verde Country Club, Rancho Duarte Golf Course, Marshall Canyon Golf Course, and Mountain Meadows Golf Course.
